Our limited-time seasonal microlots are named after the farmers who make them. We are googly-eyed-in-love with this Colombian pink bourbon from Flor Marina Betancourt of Finca Cataluña.

Finca Cataluña is located in Pitalito, Huila, Colombia. Flor and her family process this coffee by first fermenting the ripe cherries on a processing hopper for about 12 hours, then removing the pulp and fermenting for an additional 40 hours. After washing, they dry their coffee in an air circulating greenhouse.

The pink bourbon variety that they grow is much loved for its elegantly sweet flavor profile. This lot has tons of honey-floral sweetness with high notes of stone-fruit that bend towards a tangy tropical finish.

Finca Cataluña is Rainforest and UTZ certified. They use all their organic waste from coffee processing to fertilize their coffee trees. They have about half a hectare of nature reserve in the highest part of their farm which is home to armadillos, capybaras, deer, eagles, and falcons.
